Photographer Nick Knight unveiled his latest fashion-political film about racism in fashion. Naomi Campbell dressed in a Rodarte dress and louboutins holds two automatic weapons while staring into the camera.

“I am virtually never allowed to photograph black models for the magazines, fashion houses, cosmetic brands, perfume companies, and advertising clients I work for. Whenever I ask to use a black model I am given excuses such as ‘Black models are not aspirational in some markets’ or ‘they do not reflect the brands values,’ normally, however, no reason is given,” - said Nick Knight.

We admire Nick Knight for dealing with the subject of discrimination against black models. it’s a hot topic today, and the more people who discuss it, the more impact it will have.

O.C. star Mischa Barton landed another magazine cover. And this time it’s Marie Claire’s special 20th Anniversary issue.

Mischa on her love life: “I’m lucky to know you can have more than one soulmate in life. But, like a true actress, I’m always changing the way I feel about who I want to be. Nowadays, I feel I’m settling more into a woman and I’m understanding who I am.”

It’s not any new revelation that Paris is a bad designer. We had proof of this yesterday, as Miss Bad Designer herself was  promoting her footwear line at Macy’s. Her creations, done in the typical yapping Hilton style - patent heels, slingbacks, peep toes, and bows - hardly overwhelmed us with joy and ecstasy.

While at the same time, Fergie launched her own shoe collection, preferring a more cool and edgy look than Hilton, with styles that include trendy strappy sandals, gladiators, and chunky platforms.

Sorry Paris, but after looking over both collections, our vote goes to Fergie.

Though we are not a big fans of Juergen Teller’s quirky vision of fashion, we must admit that he is one of the popular photographers for the Fall/Winter 2008-9 ad campaigns. We have already seen Marc by Marc Jacobs and Vivienne Westwood ads shot by Teller, now Pucci’s campaign  has been released on the web.

It’s a typical Teller campaign, and the clothes are very Pucci. Nothing new.

We didn’t know supermodel Cindy Crawford was a furniture designer, until we  discovered her site www.cindycrawfordhome.com.

While other supermodels like Linda Evangelista and Claudia Schiffer are starring in ad campaigns, Cindy Crawford is trying to sell sofas and armchairs. Don’t expect Phillipe Starck pieces from her, as the beds and tables seem more traditional, but we do like her classic designs.

Ivanka Trump, Michelle Obama, and Carla Bruni-Sarkozy are leading Vanity Fair’s best dressed list. We agree with the magazine’s choice of Obama and Bruni, but what is Ivanka Trump doing here?
