Charlize Theron was all va-va-va-voom, as she hit the red carpet at the Sala Grande, for the premiere of The Burning Plain, held during the 65th Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy.

The Oscar-winning actress opted for a stunning off-the-shoulder Versace gown which made her silhouette: goddess like. She deserved being the best dressed lady of the past week.

Luxury underwear brand Agent Provocateur listed the top 10 most attractive women who have modeled for the chain - after appearing in several raunchy adverts and short films.
According to its poll, Kate Moss is the sexiest lingerie model ever. The survey said:
“In the four films starring Kate, we are given dream sequences that invite us to imagine how we might fulfil her desires. The dreams are beautifully crafted fantasies, each with an eerie atmosphere that brings us into a serene la-la land where we feel free to imagine pleasing Kate.”
Singer Kylie Minogue took second place in the poll, while burlesque dancer Dita von Teese, bagged third spot, reports Female First.

Kylie was praised for a promotional piece she shot which sees her riding an electric horse. The survey noted: “The camera closes in on her bulging behind as it rides up and down and shakes from side to side.”

Designer Stefano Pilati (left) who succeeded Tom Ford at YSL, thinks that Ford, who came to YSL right after Yves Saint Laurent’s departure, had a very precise vision of the company that didn’t challenge women.
Pilati told NY Times that:
“Tom is talented but not gifted. That’s the way he managed the business. Tom would say: ‘We can’t do this silhouette because she looks fat.’ Or, ‘Oh, no — women don’t like this fabric; we can’t use it.’ That mentality was something to learn but was so far from my way of thinking. Why do you want to be safe? I’m more like: Why don’t you wear gray flannel for an evening dress? I find that fantastic! Not Tom, never.”

‘When I grow up, I want to wear leather’, said Emmy Rossum, and she did last night. After wearing prom dresses in lollipop colors, this girl sexed it up in a black Paige Black Label dress and Christian Louboutin peep-toe pumps.
Tonight, Victoria Beckham donned a flared black jumpsuit as she headed out for a night in Manchester, England. This is far different from Posh’s mini dresses and skinny jeans. The jumpsuit looks weird on her, doesn’t it?
And Sanaa Lathan stepped out in a black Michael Kors strapless jumpsuit. She looked beautiful, and unlike Posh, the jumpsuit really worked for her.

“Cindy McCain looks like someone has twisted her ponytail into a knot and tried to give her a face-lift,” said Project Runway’s harshest judge Tim Gunn.

He told NY Magazine that Michelle has Cindy beat style-wise, hands down.
“There is no contest!! I mean, Michelle really epitomizes American style, and she’s not afraid to show her shape, she’s not afraid to show her sexiness without being the least bit inappropriate. She’s just an alluring woman. And Cindy with her suits and she’s all buttoned up, she’s just soooo — she just looks like she’s duct-taped! There is just something about her, and in a way it’s a metaphor about who she is!”

We have more reasons to love our digital century. STYLE.COM is introducing an iPhone application, that will allow us to watch runway shows — within hours of the last model’s exit from the catwalk — right on our on phones, during the upcoming New York Fashion Week. Morning shows should be available by afternoon, and evening shows the next morning.
We’re not exalted fashionistas, but it’s the best thing that could happen in September, for those who have no tickets to the shows in Bryant Park.

A solid gold statue of Kate Moss entitled Siren, will be on display in a new exhibition at the British Museum, Marie Claire reports.
The sculpture by artist Marc Quinn is worth £1.5 million, and the 50kg piece is said to be the largest gold statue created since the era of Ancient Egypt.
‘I thought the next thing to do would be to make a sculpture of the person who’s the ideal beauty of the moment,’ Quinn told The Telegraph.
The exhibition will run from October 4 until January 25, 2009.

We love when Eva Mendes strikes a pose in fashion ads and magazine covers, and are really pleased with her latest cover shoot. Eva, appearing in a stunning raspberry Gucci Fall 2008 draped gown, landed the September cover of Marie Claire.

Here are some extracts from her interview with the magazine:
On women’s strained friendships with each other:
“I don’t understand women who don’t like being with the girls. They say they’d rather be with the guys all the time? That it’s just so much easier? I’m calling bulls— on that.”
On Annette Bening being a true role model:
“She reminds me of one of those women back in the ‘40s and ‘50s. She’s a broad, and I want to be a broad. I mean, she’s like Ava Gardner or Bette Davis or Katherine Hepburn. Those women were broads. They said it like it was.”
On her life growing up:
“I was raised by parents who didn’t have much. We didn’t use whole pieces of paper towel. We shared, or used rags. Mom didn’t even want us flushing all the time.”
On believing the public doesn’t need to know everything about where she lives and how long she’s been with her boyfriend:
“Think about what this whole culture of celebrity has done to movie stars. It’s made them extinct. Actors used to carry films because people would have to actually go to the movies to see them. It was the only place. But now there’s none of that mystique, and so there’s less of a reason to buy a ticket.”
