Marc by Marc Jacobs S/S ’09 ad preview

The first image of the much anticipated Marc by Marc Jacobs S/S ’09 has arrived! It portrays model Daisy Lowe lying on a bed. We were surprised that the campaign isn’t the usual freaky-deaky Marc effort (who could ever forget Victoria Beckham or  Cole Mohr?) Actually, Jacobs opts for something light, quite white, and youthful this time around in a pleasant change.

Our knowledge of Fred, the LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton-owned jewelry brand, is limited, but we’re obviously well informed about Supermodel extraordinaire  Kate Moss.

According to WWD, Fred selected Kate Moss to star in its next yearly campaign with rising French actor Melvil Poupaud. Photographed by Patrick Demarchelier in a Paris studio in November, the two of them appear in separate shots modeling the brand’s bestselling “Force 10” line, and for the first time, pieces from the house’s fine jewelry line.

Prada S/S ’09 ad campaign preview

The highly anticipated Prada S/S ’09 campaign is out. We like its ads, because every season we expect something innovative from them. First it was Sasha Pivovarova, then Linda Evangelista, and now a bunch of newcomers such as Viktoriya Sosonkina, Toni Garrn, Ymre Stiekema, Katrin Thormann, Nimue Smit, Sigrid Agren and Giedre Dukauskaite. All are known as the new muses of Steven Meisel, who shot this campaign.

The campaign was inspired by ancient stone bas-reliefs and a desire to return to  the basic emotional and physical dimensions in classical art and early culture.
